I hired House Doctors to put together an office desk I ordered that had an insane amount of pieces. They did an amazing job as the desk is built and fully functional. I plan to hire them again for future projects

I had serval projects done with house doctors of Newark. I had a TV mounted, A grab bar installed in my shower, a kitchen cabinet installed all done well with satisfaction. As Karen grows her team of professionals I will continue to put my trust in the company for fair pricing, timely work, and dedication to a professional end result. I would not recommend having a detailed paint project with them at this time my paint project did not work out. not to add to my stress about it I was compensated and dealt with fairly and honestly by Karen and her team. I would expect as house doctors of Newark grow her professional services I can imagine there will be an available painter who can manage detailed projects. Over all I would recommend this team and plan to continue to seek their expertise in the future.

I hired House Doctors of Newark through Thumbtack to replace my sliding patio door. From the beginning, they were very responsive, communicated well, arrived on time, and worked hard throughout the installation. They were also friendly and professional, which made this review a difficult one to write.

I debated whether to leave a review, but after receiving a couple of reminders, I decided to share my honest experience.

While the door was installed, I was not satisfied with the quality of the finished work. The door was not properly aligned, and they spent over an hour trying to adjust the screen door but were unable to get it working correctly. The screen was difficult to slide and required excessive force. Before leaving, they suggested that the brand-new door from Home Depot might be defective.

To be sure, I hired another contractor to inspect it. He found that there was nothing wrong with the door itself—it simply needed to be installed and adjusted correctly. He was able to fix the screen door without replacing any parts.

I was also disappointed with the caulking and sealing around the door. The appearance is rough and uneven, and for a brand-new installation, it does not look professionally finished. We are now looking for ways to improve or cover those areas.

I truly believe they are good people who care and work hard, but based on my experience, the quality of this particular installation did not meet my expectations. Good communication and professionalism are important, but the final workmanship is what ultimately matters, and unfortunately, that is where this project fell short.
