I've been in the generator business since 2011 after completing a career in the chemical industry where I focused on business continuity. All State Generator is certified as a Home Improvement Contractor in NJ (NJHIC#13HV06537400) and we carry a one million dollar commercial liability policy. We have relationships with Briggs & Stratton, Generac, and Kohler.

Paul came out to my home on a Sunday on July 4th weekend when my generator was not powering the air conditioning system. To make it worse it was in the middle of a very bad heat wave. He came and evaluated the situation and told me the current wiring was not proper so I got my electrician to fix it upon his recommendation. Paul quickly serviced it and is coming out to check that everything is now working right. I highly recommend him and I'm grateful to have found him.

Paul arrived early (great!). Diagnosed the problem with my Generac 20KW natural gas generator as the battery which he replaced and then he performed a full maintenance and ran a power fail test, while explaining to me what he was doing at each step. He was very professional and courteous and a pleasure to work with. His price was very reasonable. I would not hesitate to use him again and recommend him highly.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
New Generator Projects: No project is the same. Free home assessment.
Service Calls: $145 for the first hour including travel time (Monday - Saturday 7am-8pm)
$105 for each hour thereafter.
Emergency Calls: $175/ hr. Nights and Sundays
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For new generator projects an assessment of the customers needs is necessary. I perform an onsite visit to determine the appropriate location of the generator and transfer switch. I perform a btu survey to ensure that the natural gas service to the home or business provides sufficient volume and pressure.
