I met Deneise and shared my vision with her. I was planning my dad's birthday party and I didn't want anything over the top wedding-esq, but knew i wanted floral centerpieces that would be small yet fresh, natural, almost spring-garden-vintage-esq. After only one meeting and a few emails, Deneise 100% understood my vision. When I walked into the venue the day of the birthday party, the floral arrangements were breathtaking. Everyone couldn't stop complimenting them. Deneise understood my budget, worked with me, was very helpful and calm, and was able to execute what I wanted. We used Botanical Box for our wedding flowers and decor on 10/24/14. Shannon was absolutely amazing. She did a fantastic job putting together all of my ideas and creating a cohesive look that truly represented us as a couple. It was sweet and romantic, with some vintage and rustic aspects woven in. She definitely went above and beyond in the amount of time she spent both in person and via online communication (email and pinterest boards). She is a truly genuine person who has an obvious passion and talent for what she does. I would highly recommend Botanical Box to any other couples looking for a personalized experience with a florist who is friendly, flexible, creative, and extremely attentive to detail. Shannon was very sweet, and easy to work with. She was able to take a few inspiration pics and get the idea of how I wanted my bridal parties bouquets and boutonnieres to looks, and hit the accent color spot on. The reason I gave her 3 starts is because I would have liked the bouquets to be a bit fuller and they wilted rather quickly. In my request I had wanted the majority of my bouquet to be peonies but it seems like there were more ivory roses which were only suppose to be fillers. Hi Becky, I'm so sorry that you weren't completely satisfied with your bridal bouquet. I want you to know that I do everything in my power to make sure my brides are happy with my services. Unfortunately in your case, there was a snow storm that moved across the country right before your wedding, which stalled the delivery of your Peonies & Ranunculus flowers from California. Because they arrived on the day of your wedding, I was not able to hydrate them for a full 24 hours which may have contributed to them wilting later in the day. I had contacted multiple local flower vendors as an alternative, but unfortunately they were all affected by the same delay. I always try to provide my brides with everything they dreamed of for their special day, but unfortunately with live flowers I am sometimes at the mercy of the weather. Shannon made really made our wedding come together. Not only did she create all of the centerpieces and bouquets from just a few pictures I found on pinterst; she was also flexible and very easy to work with. It was so lovely totally trusting her and not having to think about flowers really, at all. She just took off with an idea and I loved it. She is amazing. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Sample pricing can be found on our website, but prices will vary with size and flower choices.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Once we are connected with a customer, we like to meet in person to begin to get to know each other better. We typically ask that the customer bring some images of ideas they have for their event. We will then offer some ideas of our own. We will then follow this meeting with a written proposal including sample pictures, types of flowers and costs. If a customer would like to book us, there is a 30% deposit required for booking.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?We are an educated and creative team. Together we have a background in art and business with first hand experience in a floral studio and in event floral design.
