I have been playing the sax since 1988 with both a Bachelor of Music (BM) and a Master of Science (MS) in music education. I am licensed to teach in both NY and NJ and welcome students of all abilities and ages. See me play at ********* Here are some techniques we focus on during voice lessons: - expand my vocal range - find “my voice” - develop my mixed voice - interpret the notes on the page and make the song my own. - runs, back phrasing, and inflections - shape and resonate your voice. - placement of my voice Here are some techniques we focus on during saxophone lessons: - setting up a proper foundation, including reading music, sight reading, and saxophone specific technique. - audition prep - expanding range, including altissimo - improvisation - transcription technique - making music your own through ornamentation Music moves me and I enjoy sharing my love for music with others.

Corey is a great teacher. He's very good at explaining techincial musical information. Each session focuses on the areas I need improvement and we only move on once that is down/understood. And sometimes the lessons move away from the original topic/theme and goes where the conversation leads us. Corey is super knowledgable and iappreciate our conversations about the construction and physical technicalities of the instrument. He's really patient too.

Corey is very easy and comfortable to work with. I was very anxious before my first class not knowing what to expect. However, when we met, he was very understanding and patient and he took his time to get to know me as an individual. He taught me the basics and fundamentals of proper breathing to help me become a better vocalist. It is evident that he has a strong understanding and passion for music that I look forward to working with him again.
