Introduction: As an award winning Musician and teacher after almost twenty years of both private and group instruction, I have prize-winning students, those who have concertized internationally, and a few who have even appeared in feature films! I can teach all ages and level and styles and have extensive performance experience in many genres of music. I have performed and recorded for Olivia Newton John, Bobbi Eakes, Ashanti, and many more. I teach basics and much more on violin, viola, voice and piano and can also teach songwriting, composition & arranging, and theory.. as well as self accompaniment for singers. I also have worked with small bands and ensembles and taught them how to tighten their sound and work together to unify as well as improve.
I love getting to use what Ive learned to teach others. Not only do I get to teach people how to make music, I believe that the study of music shapes our lives around us and teaches us so many things that are beneficial outside of just music... patience, persistence, tenacity, and much more.
I adore the moment when a student finally connects with their instrument in comfort and enjoys the sounds they have created on their own!
