FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Many home inspectors won't talk to you until you are under contract but I try to make sure we get you penciled in as close to the beginning of your inspection contingency. It makes my life harder, but benefits the home buyer. Once we set a date and time you will receive a contract to sign and I meet you at the property. I inspect all aspects of the home (see my website for full list) and we go though material defects I found in the home. Within 24 hours you receive your report to review with your agent and/or attorney. I'm always available to answer any questions following the inspection.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started 18 years ago as an environmental consultant, doing mold, asbestos, lead and indoor air quality inspections commercial and residential properties.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of my inspections now are for home buyers locally, but when I was doing commercial inspection I inspected 30 Rock and the other buildings at Rockefeller Center, the Chrysler Tower, the Plaza Hotel Renovation, post-hurricane inspections throughout Florida, Louisiana and Texas, as well as other cities throughout the country.
