FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Standard pricing system is hard to explain. My prices don't vary too much if you stay within the same art media. Once you change art mediums, the prices from one to another should not be compared. Most of quotes is for my time and cost of materials. Cost of travel, I usually write off and do not include because without the gigs and projects that I get paid for, I wouldn't make any money. Hourly rates available - range from $10.00 to $25.00 an hour. Depends on the gig. Fixed rates available - no range, all depends on the project and projected time frame to complete the task. Classroom group rates available - this is a new option to be explored.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
New customers are the most important to me. I want a new customer to love my work and want to hire me again. This means, never going over budget. Being flexible on scheduling and budget - so if I send a customer a quote and it is too high for what you had saved for the project, message me. My quotes are not cemented in stone and permanent. Customer service and satisfaction is my top priority. I also offer incentive programs too - refer someone to me and you automatically get a percent off your next order, or lesson, or project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Education and training, well, this is a long list. I've been doing artwork since before I could talk. Back in 3rd grade, my art teacher pulled my drawing from the class and rattled off 5 or more details that put me ahead of my fellow classmates; which basically amounts to "her artistic abilities are off the charts." After 3rd grade, I've never received less than a A+ in all art related classes and any project linked to art in another subject, usually got an A+ as well. In high school, had a book report which involved dressing up in character and practicing an accent. My final grade was A++++, I still keep the grade sheet for anyone who wants to see it. In college, here's where everything gets interesting. I have a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts emphasis ceramics. I also hold minor in drawing and painting. I took theater costume shop classes and worked on the side for the theater on campus. When it comes to drawing and painting, I can do just about anything. I have made several different costumes from scratch and with the help of a pattern. I was part of a reenactment group for many of my college years and I look forward to getting back into it as soon as possible. Most of my experience comes from classroom projects and the gigs that I have done. Hands on work is the best and with every project or client I learn that much more for the next. Portfolio's of my work are available upon request should we meet in person before the start of a job.
