My daughter is 13,homeschooled and dreaded math. After a month or so with Josh, she actually( to my utmost surprise), said that it was fun. She looks forward to the tutoring sessions, and since we began them, has not uttered one math complaint. She also likes his book"The Algebra Survival Guide". After working from it, she soon realized that it was the first time that she understood what algebra is all about. I highly recommend him for anyone struggling with math, or those who want to further their math skills.I believe Josh would be equally as good with any subjects he chose to teach, as he is truly a gifted and thorough teacher. He has a very thoughtful and comprehensive knowledge of both subject and the needs of his student.

FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My pricing system is not complicated. I utilize a straightforward sliding scale, with sales tax added on. Parents and guardians find my pricing structure easy to understand and easy to live with.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Absolutely. I am a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and I am active in that organization. I have attended conferences and presented workshops at those conferences. I subscribe to the NCTM journals, and I am working on articles for their middle school publication. I also correspond with friends and colleagues who are tutors, and when we meet we often brainstorm how to handle challenging situations.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Ask around and see what other parents have to say about tutors. Due to the constant communication between parents and tutors, parents are usually the best source of information on who are the best tutors in town.
