I have only been active on the Thumbtack platform since April 6th, 2026. I am have been a licensed contractor for almost 40 years in California and two years in Nevada. Not one complaint or issue with either license the entire time. General contracting with expertise in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical. College and graduate degrees. There have been technical issues for almost two months for adding to portions my profile and Thumbtack technical support is working on them. I am semi retired in that I am looking for smaller jobs within fairly short driving distance from Carson City, where my wife and I have recently made our home, moving from the Paso Robles area in California. I can undertake wiring a complete new construction home or hang fans and repair electrical issues both residential and commercial within a half hour driving distance from Carson City and that includes as far north as Reno, as far south as Gardnerville, and as far west as Incline and South Lake Tahoe. I recently wired a 3500 sq ft 400 amp service home from start to finish in Kings Canyon, Carson City. I am a licensed General Contractor in both California and Nevada. I am happy to work on smaller jobs of all kinds and I am an excellent electrical troubleshooter. I am a senior myself and I happily give all seniors a discount. I worked as an electrical engineer in Wyoming for almost 5 years working directly with Jacobs engineering as the lead development officer on huge energy projects. Much earlier in life I taught electronics while stationed in San Diego with the Marine Corps at MCRD. I worked extensively in the Bay Area for almost 30 years where I did residential, commercial, and industrial electrical. As After Market Electric I did extensive work with Bechtel Engineering, Turner Construction, American Presidents Lines and Genstar, a GE Capital Company. I enjoy making electricity work for people, just meeting people, and have for many years. I think you will find my work to be excellent and very reasonable in cost.
