Introduction: My story begins before I was born, my father Van Neely, born in 1953, built a passion for Photography through the years living in the central valley of California, taking trips to Yosemite, Santa Cruz, Big Sur, to continue learning the tricks and trades of imagery. In 1980 Van and Debbie built the Studio, a place that all three of his children couldn't get enough of, creating the environment of Photography that we followed. My sister Tess Erdman continued the legacy of Van's work, she took over the family business in 2012 after my father passed from a two year battle of cancer. Now as of 2016, all three of Van and Debbie's children continue in the path of imagery, my brother Jon Neely became a Professional Videographer for Disney and the Director of Photography on a National Geographic documentary of Billy The Kid. I also choose the path of Photography and Videography, not as just a job, but as a true passion for the work I create. A camera has been in my hands ever since I could walk, my first camera being a Vivitar film 35mm with an entire case of lenses, I remember going on jobs with my dad, learning the fundamentals of photography at a very young age, from that point I have progressed very much, as of now I am the videographer for China Peak Mnt. resort that is helping build myself up to my dream as being as being a Photographer/Videographer for National Geographic. Getting to tell people's stories, getting to show incredible scenery.
