FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The pricing for my lessons are $30 per hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I asses their skills to see where they are at. I give them a curriculum to look at, prepare, and practice with. I invite them to create their own songs and lyrics. I show them songs that they like to listen to and play. I keep it interesting and allow the student to navigate the lessons how they prefer to learn. I adjust my teaching style to their abilities and let them take over the reigns when they are prepared to start adapting their skills to song writing, maneuvering and managing their own style of playing, and letting them discover new sounds on their own.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been playing music for 14 years, including middle school and high school where I was saxophone captain in marching band and first chair in many ensembles. I taught myself guitar and have been playing 13 years, and I've also learned the piano, drums, and several other instruments through repetition and practice. I also went to college to be a sound engineer, and I understand sound on a different level than a lot of people. I've been playing out a bit more and love the effect that it has on people. I wish to continue learning more myself and helping others along the way.
