- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My father in-law was a roofer in Las Vegas for over 20 years. My first job I ever did for him was being a grunt working on Main Street Casino. He was putting a new Hot roof on and I had no experience so I did all the crap detail! It was dirty and HOT, but I knew that's what I wanted to do. Not just become a skilled roofer, but to actually own my own roofing company like him.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Back in the boom 90% of our work was new construction (Custom Homes) tile roofs. Now we dabble in everything pretty evenly. We are doing more and more cold process roofing which is energy efficient for our customers.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure they are licensed with the state! That way you know they are bonded and insured for your protection. If they damage your property or hurt themselves on your property your covered because with a state license they HAVE to carry the correct insurances or they will be revoked.
