FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly trying to broaden my musical horizons. When you do something like this for a living you never know what type of group you will be entertaining, and to make sure that we are prepared no matter what the situation we are always opening our minds to new or different types of music. In addition the most fun part of having a DJ is dancing. Myself and my DJs do in fact love to dance and love to teach people to dance, so to be sure we know what we are doing we always look for oppertunities to learn new dances or dance styles whether its a line dance for a group or something just for the younger guest (children) to make them have fun and to keep them from getting bored.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always had a wide taste in music, and have always loved working with people. I have seen a lot of BAD DJs in my life but I have also seen some amazing ones. When I would watch a great DJ work an event I would see someone that truly enjoyed what they did, and enjoyed making the event as memorable as possible for everyone. My personality and those of my DJs are out going and fun with no fear of embarassment if thats what it takes to make a great event possible. I started working for a mobile DJ company about five years ago, and immediately fell in love with it. Being able to bring a smile to the most stern face or a tear of joy to a man during his father daughter dance is something I wouldn't trade for anything. It is truly the most amazing feeling in the world.
