Introduction

My goal is to bring personality out in people. This means I avoid unnatural poses for subjects, but allow them to be themselves while I work to find the right angle that brings out their best. I love sharing a moment in time to others and watching them respond with something like "Yes! That is exactly how he/she looks!" That means I've found a way to tell a story which resonates with others.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
Life Magazine's 60th anniversary edition inspired me to start trying to get images that could be iconic, yet simple. I had always photographed as a hobby as a child, but always wanted to do more (and with better equipment).
