I’ve been teaching ASL for 7 years and have loved every minute. With my degree in ASL interpreting. I am fluent in the language and in the concepts that make it so beautiful. I’ve worked in groups, one on one, children starting at age 3 to adults. I love helping others to learn ASL in its truest form and reaching their goals at their own pace!

I had my first lesson with Victoria yesterday. She’s very nice, knowledgeable, motivational, and has great ways to correlate what each sign means to the English language. She takes the time to relate them to real objects, places etc when she can in English to help us remember the sign. ASL is fun with Victoria! If you’re looking for a fun and creative teacher who listens to you when you don’t understand or need help, choose Victoria :)

I have two teenagers taking tutoring ASL with Victoria. My daughter and son, both, tell me that enjoy taking lessons with her. She has been willin to follow the ASL text book that we currently have and will add to their lessons as is necessary. We are definitely going to stay with Victoria and finish out the program. I want my children to actually be able to use their sign language skills. And, in my experience, tutoring is the best possible way after a submersion experience.

Victoria is by far the best ASL teacher there is!! She is extremely thourough and has a knack for helping you to completely understand the lesson at hand. She is very intelligent and hands down the best at what she does. My family has come so far with ASL through her lessons. We have gotten so much more from her leassons than from past teachers. Hire Victoria immediately! You will not be disappointed and you will enjoy the learning journey. We are so thankful for her.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to get to know you and your individual goals. That helps me to create the best lesson plan for you!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my degree in sign language interpreting. I have attended and completed the Texas Communication Skills Workshop at the Texas School for the Deaf. I also have been teaching online and in school settings.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I am a sign language interpreter, so I used the language on a daily basis. While I was working on my degree I began to teach privately to friends and in a school to children with multiple disabilities and needed a source of communication. After that, I grew in my love of teaching this language and advocating for sign language.
