We hired Jim to prepare a variety of appetizers for our holiday get-together with 42 of our friends/neighbors -- we call it the B.Y.O.W.G party (Bring Your Own Wine Glass). We wanted a variety of "hearty" appetizers and dessert bites that would pair well with a variety of wines being tasted (along with a variety of beers and non-alcoholic beverages). Jim's proposed menu was perfect -- he listened carefully to what we were hoping to do and, as part of his preparation, he met with us in advance to see how everything might be laid out and to understand what he had to work with once he was here. Jim met and exceeded our expectations -- the food was delicious, the presentation was inviting, and our guests felt comfortable talking with him and even asking questions about how he prepared certain tasty items. I would not hesitate hiring Jim again for a small dinner party, a holiday gathering such as we had, a large reception -- whatever the situation. He delivers on what he says he can deliver and goes the extra mile to make sure an event was perfect. Excellent food -- excellent caterer!

I can’t speak highly enough about Chef Jim! He came up to Sedona and prepared the most amazing meal for my group of girlfriends. The evening started with appetizers on the patio (he prepared several different things and they were all so delicious!), then we moved indoors for our salad, main course and dessert. We had pecan pear salad with maple vinaigrette Gorgonzola (amazing!), followed by a wonderful surf and turf (filets with Cajun lime shrimp), Parmesan stacked potatoes and grilled asparagus. The finale of the night was crème brule. EVERYTHING was outstanding!!! We loved it so much that I’ve already booked him for next weekend!!!! You can’t go wrong with Chef Jim!

Jim Lawson was hired to cater our housewarming party held on September 27, 2014. He met with me at my home about a month and half before the party and we discussed the menu, where to set up the buffet and other details. On the day of the party, Jim and his assistant arrived on time with all the party ware, equipment, food, etc. They went to work and had food ready when the guests arrived. Throughout the evening they continued to restock the buffet table with hot, freshly prepared items so that there was always a variety of items for our guests to enjoy. Everything was delicious and we received rave reviews from our guests. The entire evening was a success. Jim and his assistant cleaned everything up at the end of the party, leaving our kitchen spotless. We will definitely hire him again for future parties, dinners, etc.
