Please note! I'm only teaching remotely right now. And I only teach Mondays through Thursdays Eastern Standard Time- please note my working hours and do NOT contact me if you are only looking for evening lessons outside my hours or on weekends. I'm an experienced and dedicated music teacher, offering lessons in voice, piano, music theory, and songwriting. Comfortable in most styles, I work with students of all levels. I've worked with students in pop, rock, jazz, and have had a lot of success coaching band front men and women. A theater artist myself, I've also worked with lots of actors. I love working one-on-one with talented and motivated students. Every person approaches music in a different way and I enjoy figuring out how each student thinks so I can tailor my approach to his or her learning style.

The lessons are very informative and help me to improve on a daily basis. He gives great visuals and it is easy to follow instructions. I now have a very different perspective of how to sing (technique, breathing, etc.). Even though I just started, my voice has greatly improved. Also my confidence has improved. I am comfortable to mess up, be off pitch, and make other mistakes because he made it comfortable to do so and explains how it is part of the process. Cannot wait for future lessons and see how far I can take my voice lessons.

I charge based on a sliding scale. I have a preferred hourly rate but am always happy to work with a student's budget.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new student I try to get to know where they're coming from: What musical knowledge do they already have? What are their fears about learning music? How do I make them comfortable?
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Music in Composition from the Manhattan School of Music, and I've studied voice and piano extensively.
