My wife was a huge fan of the Musical Memes YouTube videos, so I reached out to Brandon through the channel to try to surprise her. It turned out he was going to be in town around the date of my wife's birthday party, while on tour with his band. I hired him to perform at the party, although it proved to difficult to keep it a secret, because my wife started looking at a much more expensive band, so I had to let the cat out of the bag. As it turned out, it was the best part of the whole party! I find bands too loud, too much set up, and they play far too long, and the guests start to wear thin. Brandon was incredibly professional from the moment he arrived (15 minutes early!), and he wasted no time in getting set up, as to not interfere with any of the other party set up. Once his gear was ready and our guests arrived, he actually worked the room, introducing himself to our friends, and had already made quite a few fans even before his performance! Once he began performing, he captured the attention of the 75 or so guests, and had them in the palm of his hands from the first note. The show was SO enjoyable, and had our friends cheering and laughing out loud. He even played over his agreed upon time, with a thumbs up from my wife and I, because they simply didn't want him to stop. He could have probably gone another hour with no complaints, but he made sure to not go too far over time, and left the audience wanting more. I can't recommend Brandon and his Musical Memes show enough! I'm not sure what his normal rates are, since he was already in town for the weekend, I think he may have given me a break on price, but regardless it was worth every penny, and far less than hiring a full band.
