Welcome to YUN Piano Studio Thumbtack Page!
My name is Lyn-Amelia Guo and I am a Classical Pianist. This is my private studio, where I practice innovative methods of piano pedagogy and aim for helping students advancing their music endeavors. The Studio offers different levels of Piano Lessons from piano lovers to professionals (if you wish to explore into that path), levels are divided as Beginner, Intermediate, Advance, Pre-College, and College level.
My teaching philosophy is to inspire the inner creativity within students and helping them to create authentic music interpretations, through variety of courses, not only piano techniques, but also musicianship class, ear training, as well as classical music history in general. if you are someone who is looking for a creative way of learning piano through psychological personality observation, enhancing body sensitives, or just gain more knowledge of what is right for you in performing piano music.
All prospective students are eligible for a 30-45 minutes FREE phone consultation. Please note, phone consultation is not necessarily implying that you have to commit to the studio, I consider this is an opportunity for us to get to know each other as well, furthermore, I tailor all my teaching material for each students individually based on their personality assessment, therefore it is essential for me to know your personality and your goals, which will eventually dictate whether the studio is a good fit for you or not.
I held an Master of Music degree from Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University in Piano Performance, and a Bachelor of Music degree from College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati in Piano performance. over the 20 some years of performing and music studying, I am very familiar with all Russian, European, and American school styles of piano performance. In the past, My young students have won major youth competitions in Asia and Europe, and few of them has been accepted into Pre-College Program in Shanghai Conservatory of Music at age 8-12. Other young students in the states have won Indiana state high school music competition gold medal in the past few years. And Adult students are currently pursuing their ABRSM level 8 exams and performance diplomas. I started off as competition coach, specialized in technical fixes and efficiency practicing methods.
