FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fee will flex, depending on the job. Generally speaking, beyond travel distance and complexity of the look required, the larger the group, the lower the fee I'll need to charge each person. It pays to book in groups. These are starting prices for particular services: Event makeup- Glam Full face: $80/person Glam Eyes: $50/person Special Fx/Halloween: $120-$250 Bridal- Bride: $150-$300 Bridal party: $70-$90/person Scar/Tattoo Cover: +$20-$100 False Lashes: $20
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With any new client I like to spend a bit of time getting to know each other-- I'll share my experience and background so you can be confident you've hired the right person for your needs. And I'll ask questions about your preferences to be sure I understand what those needs are. I'll always ask for reference pictures to be sure I have a clear image of what you want if you've chosen a specific look, and I'll explain the estimate I give you in detail so you understand exactly what you're paying for and why. Questions are always welcome, and I'm always open to repeat business, so building relationships with clients is very important to me. The more I know about a new client, the more effective I can be, and the happier you'll wind up!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I self-trained through trial and error (and the ever important land of YouTube videos) for about 10 years. After that, I started working with MAC, one of the industry's leading brands known for its dedication to inclusivity and creative artistry. Through my employment with MAC, I completed their basic training program, and also went on to certify in all 5 of their voluntary additional programs. This included a certification in lash application, as well as special FX design, and other advanced techniques that are difficult to master. After I left MAC I was hired by Lancome, another of the world's top makeup brands. I completed their training and certification programs as well and was able to add knowledge about skincare to my repertoire. I'm now able to help my clients not only look their best, but to design a regimine that will care for their skin as well. In the makeup industry, I qualify as fully certified and highly skilled.
