FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Working with new clients, I will take them through a functional movement screen (FMS). This will show me any muscle imbalances they may have in their body and the areas that are stronger or weaker. This information is very important to me because it tells me how I will make your exercise program, specifically built for you and nobody else. My programs are very individualized and no two people could do the same program, unless they have the same muscle imbalances.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer (National Academy of Sports Medicine), YES (Youth Exercise Specialist), ViPR Certified (Vitality, Performance & Reconditioning), PN1 (Precision Nutrition Level 1)Kettlebell Certified, Trigger Point Certified, Animal Flow Certified, Pre/Post Natal Certified. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Health & Wellness.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started my interest in fitness and nutrition in college. I was a college softball athlete who just wanted to hit the ball harder and farther. As soon as I began strength training and cleaned up my diet, I did just that. That sparked my interest in nutrition and how important nutritious food is to our bodies. I began studying nutrition in college and wanted to find something that would compliment my nutrition degree. That is when I found personal training. Ever since then, I have fallen in love with nutrition and training as a whole. There is nothing better than a well rounded diet in combination with an amazing exercise program.
