About
I’ve been teaching & studying yoga and meditation for 20 years. I have extensive training & certification in both the Integral & Anusara methods of yoga.
I’m also trained to teach mindfulness
meditation.
The best teachers are also students. I strive to continually deepen and expand my knowledge of the mind-body connection so I can offer you sensitive and skillful instruction.
I have additional certifications in trauma-informed yoga, restorative yoga, and therapeutic ballwork (myofascial release).
And additional training in mindful movement methods including Feldenkrais, functional movement and Qigong.
My mission is to meet you wherever YOU are on your path, and help you create deeper wellbeing, peace and ease in your body and mind.
I’ve helped clients relieve chronic pain, depression and anxiety, recover from injury and surgery, take charge of their health and feel more vital, confident and alive! I’d be happy to do the same for you!
I live and teach in Beacon, NY, in the Hudson Valley, where I have a private, light-filled studio in a spa-like setting. I also offer sessions online via Zoom.
I travel for group sessions only, for an additional fee.

Amy is a uniquely responsive listener - when you discuss the challenges you are having and what you hope to achieve, Amy is incredibly adaptive and creates a program that optimally suits the items you wish to work on.
It is common for someone to have THEIR program and try to shoehorn you into their program with some slight changes - Amy makes sure you are heard and your needs are tended to.
She also has a gentle friendliness and calm that make the process easy - I am a beginner so was fairly apprehensive, but Amy was patient and helps you work your way into the stretches, making sure at all times you are comfortable.
**I could not recommend her more highly** - though I do hesitate to because I worry she'll become so popular she won't have time for me!

We hired Amy for a group class for a friends birthday at my place upstate. She was super easy to work with, very accommodating and created a peaceful, enjoyable experience. I requested a mixed level Hatha yoga class, with some mindfulness and she did just that. Even brought all the equipment, mats and lovely essential oils.
