Introduction: I almost always do more than I was hired to do. Jobs always take a bit more time than I intended but I can't help adding those "little extras" and hope in the end it made me and the customer just a little bit happier. Sometimes I'm called a pushover for an extra nice customer and perhaps I am. I didn't start this business to become a millionaire, I started it because I love what I do. And, I love happy customers. :) Love working outside and seeing the result of something as simple as a spri kler repair. More than that... the smile on a customers face when I've made them happy.

Glad I found this place. Not sure what it is about the landscaping/irrigation business, but apparently a simple task like returning a phone call is too much to ask anyone in this field. Then you get guys who come to your house, look around, and bark out numbers without explaining what they'll be doing. And then there's Rich. They broke the mold with him. He looked over everything...the estimate was almost an hour. Explained everything he was going to do. That's important to me. I'm not paying someone x amount of dollars to "make it work". I need to know what I'm getting for my money. Rich explained what he would do and delivered as agreed. He was personally on the job with his professional crew. Did I leave out the part where his price beat his competitors to oblivion? If you need a sprinkler system, do yourself a favor and call this place. You won't regret it.

I met Mr. Flathmann about two and a half years ago when my regular service company was too busy to come out to do some emergency work I had to get done on my sprinkler system. I was very impressed with Mr. Flathmann's work and have been using his services since, I also recommended him to two of my neighbors who are also now using his services. Mr. Flathmann is very professional and dependable, no job is too small, he goes above and beyond to do a great job. I highly recommend Mr. Flathmann's services.

I found Rich through the previous owner of my current home. He has been great in helping me understanding my lawn and sprinkler system since I came from an area where we had more concrete than grass. He spent time with me when I had issues and can't say enough great things about him. I have no hesitation in recommending him for all your lawn care needs.

I can almost never give a quote over the phone. There are way too many variables.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
Did landscaping for 12yrs after I got out of the military. Then worked for my fathers irrigation company for 5. Like both jobs but wasn't making a whole lot of money. Found out I had a knack for graphics and got a job as a web and graphics admin. After 10yrs of sitting inside I had enough. Talked to the wife and got her support. Here I am, two years later and I'll never sit behind another desk again! I don't need to be rich... just happy with what I do.
