What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our prices are deterined by the condition of the lawn, the soil make-up and the suze of the turf to be treated.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I test on my property all the new organic products that are coming out. If they work well, I use them on my customer's lawns. All of my customers, get my Email newsletters to educate them on how we achieve the results they see by not using any chemicals/pesticides, what the new laws and regulations are etc..
How did you get started doing this type of work?
By mowing lawns for my teachers in high school. Then to increase income i branched out into fertilizing lawns. I eliminated the mowing, but continued to fertilize lawns with chemicals until one customer didn't want chemicals used. I fertilized with milorganite (A common organic fertilizer) and within 2 years had the best lawn ever. As time passed on, all of my organic lawns out did my chemical lawns, and the rest is history!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Is to improve severly damaged lawns from over chemical fertilization and excessive pesticide usage.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Since providing organic lawn care has now become popular, more and more of these services are popping up. However, most do not have any experience, do not test the soil, and charge very high prices. We have the experience, we provide organic lawn care the right way, and are reasonbly priced!
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
That with some patience, on their part, they can have their beautiful green lawn without having to be exposed to dangerous chemicals or pesticides. Anyone can create a green lawn with chemicals, that's easy. But not everyone can create a strong, healthy chemical free lawn. We can!
