damaged a VERY EXPENSIVE piece of equipment of mine and they're refusing to respond. Manager gave fake email to report the claim. No response from the business. FRAUDS

Hired Simply Moving to move 1 bedroom apartment from NYC to NJ. Inexperienced mover broke a dresser mirror and a light fixture in my new house. I was told to submit a claim to Simply Moving by emailing them details of the incident. I have sent multiple emails and called multiple times and continue to be told someone will get back to me. It's been three weeks and I haven't heard anything. Sounds like I won't get re-imbursed for the damages Simply Moving's inexperienced movers had done. Needless to say, do not choose Simply Moving!

Damaged dressers and used tape to close items that should have been wrapped then taped....caused toys to be ruined due to tape sticking to their toys. Insisted on tip in cash before beginning job. Had to plead to add items that were on estimate. Not professional and I have reported them to the governing bodies with a formal complaint, email to the company and no response.

I went with Simply Moving because they had really good reviews so I figured it was worth the extra money. Overall, I was happy, but there was something I didn't really think about when I chose them. Their delivery window for my move was 3-21 days, which is just enormous. It ended up causing a lot of stress, and while they did make it within 21 days I'd warn anyone out there to consider that in their decision. I can't blame them for this, it was my fault for choosing them. Other companies offered much more narrow delivery windows (and lower pricing). They labeled every single item, and then checked those items off as they delivered them. That was nice. Compared to other movers, they were quite slow with both the loading and the unloading. I actually didn't mind this, as moving is stressful and the slower pace made it less chaotic. I also felt like they were more careful to avoid breaking things, and that's more important to me. I also was moving only a tiny apartment so it didn't add that much extra time; if you were moving a 4 bedroom house you might be frustrated at how long it would take. The boxes were pretty beaten up when they arrived. My wardrobe box had collapsed, and many boxes had clearly been smooshed or poked. I was surprised to find that nothing appeared to be broken (and I had lots of glass, electronics, and some art). So while that was disconcerting, everything turned out to be fine.
