This review is long overdue. I hired Chef Malcolm and Carima Bey to cook a special anniversary dinner for my parents and they did an excellent job! My parents loved it! I could not have asked for a better dinner. Chef Malcolm is very professional and really knows food. He was helpful and creative in helping me come up with a menu for the evening. We decided on a bruschetta for the appetizer, jerk salmon and coconut risotto for the entree, and a mango ginger sorbet for dessert with rum punch. The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was simple, yet elegant. Carima Bey recently catered a party I hosted in Glen Cove, NY. Despite the fact they hit major traffic on their way, the jumped into action and didn't miss a beat! The menu was awesome and the lamb sliders, chicken and shrimp were barbequed to perfection! - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I will help a customer devise a menu that is fitting to the occasion they are celebrating then we discuss price based on the number of appetizers, main courses, desserts and other peripherals that may be included in the service such as wait staff,linens and dishes etc.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I love to entertain and bring food to the forefront as a topic of discussion. I've realized after hosting many successful parties and barbecues that I love the thrill of feeding finicky people.
