As a local investor myself with 33 doors and growing, I purchased my first investment property in 2015 in Mt Vernon NY. I started off managing my own properties, as my portfolio grew I implemented systems and protocols to help scale. I am a licensed real estate sales person who focuses on working with investors and a licensed general contractor. This allows me to do everything in house from marketing and leasing, to maintenance calls, emergency repairs, unit turnover, and full on additions/renovation. As an investor myself I would classify my business as an asset manager instead of just property management. Knowing what to do to maximize the value and potential of an asset with unit renovations, upgrades, and rent increases to increase NOI.
