FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prospective students should know that I pride myself in being more affordable than most music teachers, and that although that I am a student myself at a conservatory, I carry with me a plethora of musical knowledge for a reduced hourly rate. On top of that, I am very flexible in regards to scheduling and I am very approachable if there are any concerns.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It depends on the student. For first time students I like to orient them through the process of good practicing habits and basic music theory, and depending on the instrument we will then move on with technique and repertoire assignments. For students with any level of experience I will ask them to perform any kind of piece that they know so I can determine their skill level, and from there we move forward with lessons.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have played the violin for over 16 years and have learned many other instruments in that process, (including vocal skills). I have won many competitions and have performed in prestigious venues like the Kennedy Center and the Strathmore Theater, as well as winning the WorldStrides Heritage Music Festival 2017. I am now currently in the process of obtaining my Bachelors of Music Performance at Brooklyn College, where I study under renowned violinist Jesse Mills.
