STYLE: All photographs and the wedding photos we have seen by him are very personal specific to each couple. When we met with him, we really felt like we got to know the other people he has photographed for just by looking through his pictures. We were thrilled when our wedding photos arrived and found the same to be true for us! TILTED (DUTCH) ANGLES AND DEPTH Personally, I LOVE his use of dutch angles and depth in photos, so be prepared to arrange yourselves with depth. Example: Groomsmen had a standard "line-up" photo that my traditional granny liked a lot, but there was another groomsmen one where they're seated throughout different pews that I thought was so much more telling of the personality of the men and showed off the natural beauty of the church). So clearly he will give you the 'standard' wedding photos but then the other 80-90% will have a lot of flare and personality that he encourages the subjects to express from within instead of being externally directed. TIMING: 2 WEEKS AND 1450 PHOTOS PLUS SLIDESHOW We had our photos within 2 weeks of the wedding and despite how agonizing it was to wait, considering how stunning the photos were, I can see why it would take a bit of time to sort and send it all! These were miles better than our friends' selfies and cell phone pics that we had to hold us over. EXPRESSION: Something that was pretty cool about receiving his photos was our guests had made a lot of comments to us about our expressions at very specific moments of the ceremony and reception that we just assumed was because they knew us so well. When we saw the photos, it was plain as day to understand what they were talking about and it all lined up with the specific moments mentioned! Clearly Emmanuel has a talent for getting an idea of who people are fairly quickly and then understanding when to focus where for the best representation of each wedding and each couple. ADDED BONUS: PERSONALITY BEYOND THE PHOTOS Every wedding is stressful in its own way, but from our very first meeting Emmanuel was so kind and helpful. Every message and communication leading up to the day was professional and cheerful. The actual day was pretty hectic (they tend to be) but he came and inserted himself into our chaos, capturing lovely instants that we now have the gift of being able to look back on. Even though he was with us all day, he was never in the way and was always helpful. He encouraged friends and family to roll with pose ideas and generally made everyone so comfortable that it's an absolute treasure to look at photos with everyone's REAL smiles instead of just 'picture day' smiles. If you do meet with him, take notice of how in other wedding photos he shows, he manages to capture a group and everyone is smiling their genuine smiles in the SAME photograph. From your oldest grandmother, to your distracted siblings, down to the youngest cousin, all of them seem to have finally been synced in the timing of their expressions of joy. (So no need to photoshop good smiles together) As my husband put it afterwards, "Just him being there added so much joy to how our loved ones celebrated with us. That by itself could be a hireable skill for a wedding day." BUDGETS AND PACKAGES He has a variety of packages to fit different needs. We were on a shoestring budget and this (photographer) was actually a family gift. The package we selected was a bit closer to "normal" wedding budgets than our lower budget, but of all the things that money was spent on, this was the best investment. The day truly flew by and we are so happy and thankful to have such amazing photos to remember it by. You know what they say: families only get together at weddings and funerals, so what a treasure it is to look at both of our extended families in the same place and through such an accurate representation of their personalities! -Plus, when else in your life will you have so many people gather because they love you and are excited to celebrate with you? We had guests from all over and it is so precious to look at them enjoying the day. Even with facebook and google+ sharing options, I've still be printing 4x6 photos to slip into individual thank you cards so that families will have a printed copy of that great photo of their young baby, or new couples will have a special momento from that lovely dance. These are simply too wonderful not to share. OVERALL: If you've continued reading this lengthy review up to this point, then you won't be shocked when I write that we highly recommend Emmanuel. I stuck to comments and points on wedding photos because that was the service he provided to us, but what I have seen of his other works is gorgeous too. In hind sight, I wish we had done an engagement photo session so that we wouldn't have agonized over what to put on Save the Dates, our wedding website, and invitations. Clearly he was a joy to work with and the quality of his product is an absolute treasure to us (I can't say that enough). Hiring him as your photographer gives you quality products and a fantastic experience. Then you'll be free to stress about other things since your photographers and photos are already more than taken care of.

We chose Emmanuel to capture our wedding day because hes a well-known, award-winning wedding photographer who went out of his way to work within our budget. We were delighted to learn that perhaps just as importantly, he is fun, down to earth, and in an effortless way, was able to make us feel comfortable, despite our nervous excitement. Our bridal party absolutely loved Emmanuel, and he had everyone laughing and feeling at ease in no time at all. When looking through the many pictures Emmanuel took, we found ourselves asking, When did he have time to shoot that picture? I cant believe he got that shot from across the street! I didnt know he was taking pictures from the church balcony! Emmanuel traveled over two hours to photograph our wedding, and he was prompt, professional, and photographed until the very end of our reception. He finished editing our pictures in just about two weeks; he really worked hard for us, on our wedding day and afterwards, and yet we are the ones who were rewarded with such amazing photos. Trust in Emmanuel to capture your special day, and you will love looking back on how beautiful it was.

Nothing fancy or complex about emanphoto's pricing system-it's one day, 3 packages. Hundreds of moments captured-an average of 2000 photos. Rivers of tears and smiles. Gratefulness. Happiness.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
If I didn't my company would not be advertising with Thumbtack. I just purchased several new software with which I'm having so much fun editing with.
