Mike from Video Memories was terrible to work with. He quoted me on the project, and we spoke on the phone where he committed. I sent him the details of time and place via email and never heard back. I followed up on thumbtack, and he said he hadn’t received them so I confirmed his email and sent them again. I didn’t hear anything again so I got him on the phone and he said he would be sending me a contract and any additional questions by that night or the next morning. I never received anything. He called the next day yelling because he hadn’t received a contract or payment. He had never sent them, which I explained. He then said he would never send a contract without payment, which he had never stated and he hadn’t given me a deposit amount to pay. He then cancelled on me with two days until my event. He was so rude and unprofessional that I would NOT recommend working with him to anyone.

We hired Mike the owner of Video Memories of CNY for our wedding in September of 2020. Our experience was pleasant until we received our videos and watched them. We realized that we did not get to select the music that played except for one song throughout the videos. It would have been great if we had the option to pick the music throughout the videos. Also the videos didn’t include some key people and interactions that we were hoping to capture. So we reached out to Mike, at first he was responsive asking what we were looking for exactly. We informed him that we were looking for additional scenes and interactions that may have been captured nothing specific, just wanted to make the most of the special day. Also he edited a scene in the video twice and that made no sense to us as it was already viewed 2 minutes prior. We asked to have the rest of the footage sent to us. It’s was our wedding day and we wanted to make sure that we captured everything and everyone. He agreed and said he would send everything to us if we sent him a flash drive. We then sent him two flash drives to be on the safe side. We tracked the package so we are certain he received it however he would not return or text and our phone calls ever since. Needless to say we have never received the rest of our footage to add some elements that we were really wanting and we are now stuck with a subpar video that is not to our liking with no options to enhance it in anyway (Since we never got any additional footage) and also out an additional 40 bucks for flash drives and tracked shipping to his address. My advice would be to stay away once money exchanges hands things went south for us and we wouldn’t want anyone else to suffer the same experience.
