Mike played at our wedding receptions and was professional, polite, and a great value! He played all our requests, took appropriate requests and the music seems to flow seamlessly. We are so happy that we choose him. The live piano/keyboard music was fantastic with light singing during dinner/eating time. His introductions were perfect and his means of communicating directions was professional! For example, he never stopped the music and shouted "get some dessert." He always kept the music playing, wording directions in a great fashion. We could not have had a better DJ, from the sound quality to the variety of songs. He was even able to customize an entrance song for the parents of the bride.

We hired Mike to be the officiant and DJ for our wedding. He did a fantastic job; got the guests involved with dancing and helped everyone loosen up (we had many older people attend). He listened to what we wanted and if we were unsure he gave us ideas. There were times when we put our trust in him and it worked out great!

Mike provided music and karaoke for a casual outdoor party to celebrate my wife's birthday. He arrived on time, quickly sized up the outdoor situation and set himself up in the spot we'd provided on our deck. He was well prepared, ready to play the songs we'd requested. He did a great job sensing the mood of the party, playing "cocktail" music on the keyboard for a while, never pushing folks to dance or playing the music too loud for conversation. He had two portable microphones, perfect for myself and my young niece to make announcements, and for a little karaoke performing on the deck. Mike is both professional and likable, great guy to work with.

Mike did a great job and was a wonderful DJ! The music was spectacular and all the guests danced the night away. His photobooth option is also one I cannot rave enough about. So much fun!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes I do. I attend the National DJ Conference in Las Vegas each year to keep up on the latest and greatest innovations in my industry. Whether it's marketing, equipment, or shared experiences of others, that's how you improve your skills.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
No matter what profession you do, you should love it. I was pre-med in college (my father/grandfather/cousin/brother were all doctors.) I had good grades but no passion for what I was doing. My true passion was in music and entertainment. So I went to my father and told him I wanted to do music for a living and he said, in his own words. "Go for it!" I did and I haven't looked back since. It's seeing the joy on people's faces that makes me happy and feel fulfilled in my chosen profession.
What types of customers have you worked with?
The most popular performance I do for parties or weddings is the "Live Performance DJ" in which I play live keyboard for a ceremony or cocktail hr, then go into "DJ mode" for dancing. It's a great combination and gives a "touch of class" to the event! I also have the option of adding more instruments such as a sax or violin. Of course I can always do straight DJing with a great light show.
