Introduction: I have had years to perfect my craft in the commercial industry from filming and editing web intros, TV commercials to local TV shows. Though through these applications I felt like I was missing something. Once I started filming wedding videos I knew I found it! I love the emotional connection. When doing commercial work I always felt like there was something missing and was not sure what till I shot my first wedding video. I finally felt that emotional fulfillment on my part and have loved every wedding creation since.

"Christy Thompson of Dream Day Cinema videotaped our wedding and created a video we can share with our friends and family via YouTube and on DVD. All the moments we wanted to capture and remember for a lifetime are there in our wedding video. Their service is professional and friendly. From meeting face to face at our rehearsal the night before to following through to make sure we were happy with the end product after the ceremony meant a lot. Christy not only asked us what kind of music we would like added in the background but also called after we saw the video to make sure we were happy with the end product. We highly recommend them and will call on them again for our next family event. " Margarite and Stephen K.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am always learning. I went to college for fine arts, which did not translate into any sort of actual job. First I learned web and graphic design, then photography and finally video production. I think because I am self taught this has created an advantage to for me and my craft. I have loved to learn new things along that way and am excited to always be learning more!

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The most important thing is to look at their work. Do you like what you see? They can talk to you about anything and everything they provide, but their work will be a true telling of whether they are a good fit for you.
