Introduction: I am a certified professional music teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience offering piano/keyboard and woodwind instrument lessons in my home studio, with a waiting room for parents and siblings, in East Amherst, NY.
I also make, sell, and adjust oboe, saxophone, and clarinet reeds. A friendly atmosphere, yearly recitals, holiday parties, and playing with my cats (they are a great audience and love to listen to students play) are all things that make lessons with me fun and exciting.
I also teach band and general music at SDS Middle School in Niagara Falls, NY. In addition to teaching, I perform in several local ensembles, including the Southern Tier Symphony Orchestra, the Tonawanda Legion Band, the Erie County Wind Ensemble, and the Amherst Symphony Orchestra, and I play woodwind instruments in pit orchestras for musicals all over Western New York.

Seems the older Ms. Rohr gets the less patience she has with young people. Lessons are so-so. I have had better instructors.

Who is Jen W.? Are you writing a review for a young person? Do you mean you could have had better instructors or the young person? Did this young person practice? Was this young person responsible? Did this young person talk back? There are no details here and I can't think of any young people I have that would have an issue. I will get after students if they don't practice. I don't get paid to babysit after all.

I am still in the process of taking lessons and learning so I really haven't formed an opinion. Things are going well the Sheryl knows her music so I find her to be very knowledgeable.
