Introduction: Music Entertainment: Hi everyone! I am Jesus Saenz, peruvian violinist based in NYC. I have been playing violin for over 20 years, and I hold degrees from the University of North Texas, and the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. As a performer, I have traveled to over 25 countries with different ensembles. Throughout my travels, I have learned about the music and culture from remote communities in countries such as Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Haiti, etc. These experiences have broaden my overall musicianship, as well as my repertoire list. I will be happy to fulfill all your music requests no matter the style or genre. When you hire me, you are also helping an organization I co-founded, Musicians for the World Inc, a Non-Profit committed to empowering vulnerable communities worldwide through virtual music education. I donate 5% of all my thumbtack earnings. I also play violin duo performances with my wife Kelley. If you would like more information about it, please find us on thumbtack as Queens Dynamic Duo. Violin Teacher: Hello everyone! my name is Jesus Saenz, and I am a Co-Founder for Musicians for the World, a Non-Profit Organization committed to empowering vulnerable communities worldwide through virtual music education. As one of the main violin teachers for MFW, I mentor students in Kenya, Haiti, Peru, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, Belize, and Suriname. My in-person teaching experience includes faculty positions at the El Sistema Somerville (MA), Rockwall School of Music (TX), and guest professor at the Boston String Academy, and Longy Side by Side. My main goal in teaching is to encourage students to use what they have available to them, physically and mentally, to get the best results. I believe that discipline and fun go hand in hand and I do my best to encourage discipline in an exciting, entertaining way. I offer a FREE 30 min trail lesson, this way we can get to meet each other prior to any commitment. The student's comfort is a priority to me, and I like to make sure that we are a good fit! We had no idea what songs we wanted and Jesus helped every step of the way! They kept our guests entertained when we were running a bit late (oops!) and figured out every cue throughout the ceremony. Jesus even brought his ukulele to play one of our favorite sweet songs. Would highly recommend!

Jesus was a great asset to our proposal. He was very professional, friendly, and amazing with the violin. He created an atmosphere for my fiancé and I that I could have never created. We are very thankful for the memories that we’re made. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Online, or in person at teacher's home. 1h =60$ 3/4 h =45$ 1/2 h =30$ free 30 min trial lesson. At student's home: 1h = 100$ (30 min or 45 min lesson available for students near La Gardia Airport!)

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I set up a trial lesson with the student with a discounted price. During this lesson, I typically like to discuss the goals and needs of the student along with their musical experiences. I then let them know what my plan would be for lessons going forward and then, I let the student decide how to proceed. The student has the freedom to reach back out to me or not.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

-Bachelor degree: Texas Christian University -Performer Diploma: Southern Methodist University -Master Degree: University of North Texas -GPD: Boston Conservatory at Berklee -Graduate from the Orchestra of the Americas Global Leaders Program
