Mike has been working with my teenage son for several weeks now. My son quickly came to respect Mikes’s expert knowledge and the expectations he has of him. Given the lack of organized sports these days, the purpose of their sessions is to keep my son active while also learning about the importance of health and wellness. Mike is doing that and more. What I also really appreciate is his follow through, punctuality, and personalized commitment to my son.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    Every client is different. We go through an introduction workout/evaluation based on basic movement/exercise patterns. This helps me design a program specific to their needs and goals.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I’ve been a certified exercise specialist for 20 years. A few of my certifications are through the CHEK Institute, NASM, FMS and NMT. Check out my website at CoppingerFitness.com for more info and credentials.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I went to college for Nutrition and received my bachelors degree in dietetics and minor in health and wellness. After college I worked in a hospital doing Nutrition plans as a dietitian assistant and helping with physical therapy. I really liked the exercise and rehab part of this. while working in the hospital. I got my fitness certification within a year and now I am a full time private personal trainer.
