Introduction: • NFPT Personal Trainer • 9 YEARS Experience • Located in FAIRPORT, NY. One-on-one and semi-private training (up to 3 ppl) are both COVID-SAFE options at FitClass! **FOLLOWING CDC GUIDELINES** Everyone stays 6 feet apart and ALL EQUIPMENT touched is disinfected after EVERY use. As an independent owner, I personally oversee what happens in the studio on a daily basis and ensure that it's a safe environment to workout in. FitClass with Helen is a total body program. As a CPT, I'll guide you through a variety of workouts designed to improve your overall health and fitness - and reach your specific goals. Each session is unique and developed with your capabilities in mind. Most workouts are total body; it's like P90X (strength), Insanity (plyo/cardio), Pilates (core), Kickboxing (martial arts/cardio) and Yoga (flexibility) all rolled into one. You won't be bored or burnout doing the same routine over and over again! If you practice good nutrition and are consistent with your workouts you will: • lose weight • strengthen your core • build lean muscle • improve your endurance and increase your flexibility. Personal training can be expensive. For some, a better choice might be small group training. Class size varies, but on average 5 ppl train together. Please contact me for additional details.

I inquired about three personal trainers on the Thumbtack website, but Helen was the only one that actually researched about the Army's new Combat Fitness Test that I have to take in April. This was my determining factor in choosing her. She's been great in given me techniques and exercises to help me strengthening my body for this upcoming test. Helen does an amazing job !!! She is doing a weekly class for the seniors at Charles Settlement House who are 60years of age and older....They really enjoy the different exercises that she does. One of my seniors who is 92 years old came to me after class and said "hey that was a great class for me" ... I am more than satisfied with Helen Legacy personal training... Thanks NMM

I started FitClass and Personal Training with Helen this past July, and have seen a major improvement in my ability to endure longer periods of time doing cardio as well as strength. Helen carefully plans out each training session with me and incorporates things that I like. No two sessions are the same. I feel challenged in a good way as the intensity increases over time. When I started, Helen took measurements and had me perform a series of tests. When she followed up after 2 months, it was really motivating to see how much I had improved and the difference in measurements. My friends and family have been noticing that I look healthier and more fit. :) For the first time in a long time, I feel like I'm getting back to the "old me" again, healthier and more toned. I look forward to my weekly 1:1 sessions coupled with FitClass 3-4 times a week!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    AVERAGE PRICE: $35/per 1-hr. session. Pricing is determined based on age, duration and frequency of sessions, but I am flexible. I care mostly about people getting the results they desire. Per session prices are lower if you: • Train for a shorter period of time (Minimum 40 minutes. Maximum 1-hour) • Train more frequently (3 or more times per week) • Pre-pay monthly (must train a minimum of 2 times/week) I offer student discounts. Cost varies and depends on length of time and frequency.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I have an initial consultation to gather background information: • Past fitness experience • Details regarding goals • Identify possible limitations • Current nutritional habits After being hired, the first step is a Fitness Evaluation. This helps establish a baseline of the clients current health and fitness level. Measurements, bodyfat and weight are taken. The client then takes a "FitTest": a series of exercises are performed to determine clients current level of strength, endurance and flexibility. After baselines are established, the client consistently works out for 8-12 weeks, then re-tests for results.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I became a Certified Personal Trainer in 2011 and have been instructing small group classes and personal training for 8 years. I have a lifetime of experience thru my own personal fitness journey: • Weight lifting, running, biking and group classes for 30+ years; • Proficient athlete having played 20+ years in team sports including softball, volleyball, soccer, swimming and basketball; • Certified lifeguard (past); • CPR/AED Certified.
