FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Why Yoga? Newcomers who "stick with it" often come to learn the many physical and mental benefits of studying and practicing yoga. Where beginners often try to focus on perfecting the pose "asanas", experienced practicioners have learned to listen to what their body is telling them, allowing the process to unfold over time. With patience, yoga allows individials of all skill levels the opportunity to experience its health benefits, while working within there skill level and avoiding the potential injury, set backs and/or disappointment. Popular media subjects us to pictures of lean and strong yogi bodies, and naturally people want to get the same look. What we don't realize is that most of these "models" have been practicing yoga for years. We are all tempted to push ourselves beyond our limits to do a certain pose faster (or rather, faster than other students in our class). However, yoga is not about competition and forcing yourself into anything; in fact these contradict the basic values of Yoga. It requires will power and diligence, but it should be done calmly and without unnecessary stress. So before attempting to do handstands or twisting your feet behind your back, give some attention to the spiritual aspect of your endeavour. Only when your mind is tranquil will your body reach its fullest potential.... relax, let you mind at ease, and enjoy the journey.
