I found myself suddenly confronted with an e-mail emergency/ catastrophe: I couldn't send or receive e-mails using either Outlook or Optimum, my Internet provider, on both my PC and my cell phone. My e-mail screens were frozen, and then promptly stripped of ALL my e-mails. Yikes! Especially since I run a business from my home, and am utterly dependent on e-mail.
But I had the good fortune of connecting with Frank.
Frank had a tussle with my computer remotely, and at first it looked as though NOTHING would work. I was in despair!
However, Frank had not only the technical expertise to solve my problem, but an excellent character trait for someone in his line of work: a REFUSAL to accept defeat at the hands of a computer program. He spent three hours trying first one possible fix, then another, until he hit on the solution.
Don't ask me what he did: I'm a technological novice (despite, actually because of, my advanced years). All I know is that I came to him with my e-mail in tatters, but left with my service fully restored on both PC and cell. And true to form, Frank wouldn't leave the job until he was satisfied that I was satisfied.
Through the dark hours with no e-mail he never lost his cool (as far as I could tell--if he was gnashing his teeth, he did so out of auditory range). He sympathized with me when I wrote him notes of fatalistic despair on his company's site, and just kept at his task, professionally and doggedly.
He richly deserves the five stars I'm awarding them. If I have more computer issues down the road, you can bet I will call on them again!
