FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My travel fee is a standard $50 for anywhere in NYC. Outside the boroughs its $75. Out of state, let's talk. Client covers 50% of the studio fee for studio rentals. And in terms of discounts related to the actual shooting fee... most people don't read this but, don't be afraid to negotiate pricing if you need to.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we go over the specifics of the shoot and what you're looking for, who's being photographed, location, time/date, etc. Afterwards I will: 1. Send you a quick photography contract to make it official 2. Send an invoice you can pay online (just the 50% retainer required to secure the date) 3. Create a mood board with some example poses we can use as references (if applicable) 4. Send you some portfolio samples based on the type of shoot
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Completely self-taught, and more importantly always learning. I'm a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), the highest industry standard body for photographers in the United States.
