Based in New York City, I have been shooting photography professionally since 2003. My specialty lies in portraiture photography, both in studio and on location, with natural lights or studio strobe lightings. I enjoy the modus operandi of photography in its entirety. From interactive discussions with clients regarding any particular project, to pre-photo shoot preparations such location scouting, lighting setups and tests, the photo session, and lastly post photoshoot retouching and editing. As a Thumbtack photographer, my rule of thumb is to always deliver a final product which the client and I are both happy with.

Kevin exceeded our expectations as a professional in his field. His responsiveness, direction and patience (we had lot's of wardrobe changes) were only exceeded by his possessed skill-set as a photographer. His studio was warm and inviting and he made the off-sir location fun and exciting. Not only will he be the only photographer that we use in the near future, we have already begun recommending him... I know this might sound like a "paid-for" review, but it is not... He is deserving of every word. Thanks Kevin!

I am glad I had a chance to work with Kevin Wo as my photographer. He took several photos of my professional profile which I am extremely happy with. I was pretty directionless when we met for the photo shoot but, Kevin made things easy. He used lots of lights and was able to provide some smart pointers to help me relax in front of the camera which was a big plus. The photos came out quite lovely and he turned them around in reasonable amount of time. I will definitely work with him again in the future for other photo shoots as needed.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Communication is key. Typically I'd ask the client what looks they have in mind so I know exactly the lighting set up I'd use to achieve the desired effects.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a master degree in digital photography from The School of Visual Arts. 2014
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Been shooting for 20 years. Dabbled in different genres of photography and found my niche in studio portraiture.
