Expressive Editing® NYC

Hey, I have 31+ years of experience in proofreading, copy editing, substantive editing, and cross-variant-language adaptation. I revise, refine, and REwrite, but I do not write/produce original work (unless you're looking for original poetry). I bring a meticulous, deadline-driven, high-quality approach to every project, large or small. // My work often involves in-depth linguistic analysis to strengthen content’s clarity and intent. I’ve edited 37+ published books (18 credited) and work confidently in AP Style and CMOS and other styles, plus I can edit in U.S., U.K., and Canadian English. // Expressive Editing® began in October 2002 as a small one-client shop, but then I got a bit "known" in my field via my clients' word-of-mouth/referrals. Now, after 24 years, I've had more than 70 clients, which means I've likely copy edited and proofread more than 1 million words. // As a freelancer, I've acquired two clients with no editing test. Also, I've had three repeat clients (three clients who needed my editing talents twice). // When you hire me, I'll make sure your content is error-free, consistent, clear, styled correctly, and is of the highest quality, whether it's two pages or 200 pages. // And, even if you think that you (or your company) do not need a copy editor or proofreader, when you want to advertise your services or items, you will need to post something online or on paper. It's at this point that you should find the right person to edit and proofread your content and fix your every word, one mistake at a time, expressively right.
