Rosita is EXCELLENT at her craft. I found her through this Thumbtack, and although she was quite a ways out from where I lived, just by our conversation, I can tell she was a pro and understood what I needed. I took a chance and traveled to what on some days was 2 hours to get to her. But, she was she worth every minute spent on the road. Her meticulous attention to detail, and deep caring about the art of her craftsmanship is like none I’ve ever seen. She literally transformed a gown that did not fit by any means, into my dream design. This was for my daughter’s wedding and it was important to me that I looked and felt my best. I received compliments all night long and never felt more beautiful. Rosita is a genius and really wants her client to not only look their best, but feel their best as well. She is professional, courteous, punctual, responsive and pleasant all around. If you’re looking for all of these qualities, look no further when you are seeking your next seamstress, because Ms. Rosita is the real thing!!! I can only say great things about Rosita. I found my wedding dress with only 6 weeks before my wedding. She took me right away and started working with me. We met up 3 times for my alterations and she had to make a few adjustments for my rapid weight loss. She also altered my wife's suit and she altered my veil and added a 5 point bustle for my long train. She also added a lace sleeve to my gown. The dress came out gorgeous and my wife's suit was completely tailored to her small frame. She made the impossible happen on such a short period of time. She is very knowledgeable, patient, and her prices are fair. We can't thank Rosita enough for doing a wonderful job in a short timeframe. Please hire her if you need alterations!

I highly recommend Rosita! She did an amazing job with alterations for my gown for a family wedding. The dress has a lot of beading and sequins so I was a little concerned if alterations would be possible but Rosita did a fantastic job and everything looks seamless.

Depends on the project.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Speak to the customer to get a sense of their vision for the dress. Make suggestions, if necessary, based on my expertise and taking into consideration any budget constraints. Supply a preliminary quote based on our discussion. However, a more precise quote is given after a fitting with the customer and all alterations are identified.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
30 years of sewing experience. I respect tradition but do think "outside of the box" thus am in the unique position of being able to relate to a customer's vision.
