Introduction

I have more experience than most of the Judges before whom I appear, so they give me a greater consideration at times. Beyond that, I am also an Interfaith Minister, so I am able to counsel my clients in an honoring and respectful fashion when discussing their case. I also use Emotional Freedom Technique to calm them down for trial and/or court appearances so they are not as nervous. The ability to calm people down and get them through a challenging time in their lives. Many young people also need a little guidance and a concerned "ear" to talk to and set them on a different course. It is gratifying when they straighten their life out and move in the right direction again.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have different types of fee structures for different types of cases. I charge an hourly rate for Divorces, Estates and civil work and a flat fee with a maximum number of appearances for criminal cases. I do not quote fees over the phone since I believe the practice of law is a profession and not a consumer driven business and I prefer to meet my client to see if both of us can build rapport for each other before quoting a fee.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In New York we have to take 12 hours of continuing education each year. I am up to date on my CLE..
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My father was an attorney for 40 years before me and I was always around his office as a kid, so it was natural for me to enter the field too.
