About
Hi, I’m Carlisio! I’m a professional TV composer and music producer with over 17 years of teaching experience and a B.A. in Music. My music has been featured on the Milano Cortina Olympics, the Sunday TODAY Show, and Access Hollywood, and I bring that real-world experience into every lesson.
I teach all ages and levels: beginners, intermediate players, and adults coming back to the piano. Every lesson is built around your goals, whether that’s classical, pop, R&B, jazz, or learning the songs you love by ear.
You’ll learn more than notes. I teach technique, reading, theory, and chords so you understand how music actually works and can play with confidence.
Lessons are patient, fun, and paced for you. Message me to book your first lesson and let’s start making music together! 🎹

Carlos has been trancing my daughters for months now and I have to say, they’ve never been so excited about learning to play music! Not only is he showing them the fundamentals of reading music, he’s also sharing a love for learning by having them choose to learn their favorite songs. Outstanding, bravo and thank you Carlos!

Carlisio "Keys" is a master of balancing emotional understanding with technical ability. He made me feel comfortable and safe, yet he motivated me to push beyond my perceived limitations. He felt more like a life coach than just a piano teacher, and I mean that in the best way possible. Money well spent! Watch out Mozart, Carlisio Keys has got me hot on your tail.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Whenever working with a new student I like to get to know them. Their interests, their previous musical knowledge, and current goals. I like to implement theory, classical repertoire, and learn pieces that the student has interest in. Keeping the class balanced with fundamentals and music that will keep motivation is important.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a B.A in music (2014 completed) from Millikin Univeristy.
I have taught at music schools , summer camps, as well as teaching private students for over 8 years.
I currently use Logic Pro X as a professional Producer, but also have experience with Ableton as well (Ask about production lessons ! :) )
