A passionate and experienced music educator, I graduated from Hofstra University in May 2016 with a Bachelor's degree in Music Business, where I studied flute performance. For nearly a decade, I've taught private flute and beginner piano lessons to students across Long Island, New York City, and remotely throughout the country. Over the years, I've worked with more than 30 students ranging in age from 4 years old through young adulthood.
My students have participated in the NYSSMA Spring Adjudication Festival, earning perfect and near-perfect scores, with several going on to perform in All-County and All-State ensembles. That said, success looks different for every student. Whether your goal is preparing for auditions, improving school band performance, learning a favorite song, or simply building confidence and enjoying music, I tailor lessons to meet each student's unique needs and interests.
In addition to teaching, I spent more than ten years working in the music industry, including supporting a national nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to high-quality music education. That experience reinforced my belief in the transformative power of music and the importance of creating supportive, engaging learning environments for students of all backgrounds.
I'm currently pursuing a Master's degree in School Counseling at Queens College, where I've further developed my skills in student development, motivation, and individualized support.
Since college, I've performed with the Grand Street Community Band (Metropolitan Music Community), Island Symphony Orchestra, and LIU Post Orchestra.
Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and sharing that passion through teaching is one of the most rewarding parts of my life.
