Introduction: My work is based on Colour and proper application. I bring the clients needs and an artists touch to make-up application. Not all looks are appropriate for each shape of eye or face. Knowing the facial contours and application of colour puts my artistry above the others! I like to say, " I want you to look like you, just enhanced!". Colour Me Pretty has been honored to win "Best of 2016" -placing 1st in the Rochester, NY Region as well earning 3rd in the "Best of 2015" for the Rochester region. Giving women and clients confidence! I so often see shattered self-esteems when clients sit in my chair. I always make a point to showcase the beautiful features each women has. Most often do they not only leave with a beautiful customized look unique to them, but they give me a huge hug and thank you!

Shannon did the make up at my future sister in laws wedding on September 14, 2013. She was prompt and ready to get to work! She did an amazing job on 3 bridesmaids and a beautiful bride! Everyone was stunning and she listened to each person to be able to capture the look they were going for! Highly recommend!!!

Shannon was hired to do the makeup for my wedding, which included myself (the bride), three bridesmaids and my mom in October. I met her at a bridal show, and was so impressed with how masterfully she created a quick look, that I booked her shortly after the show. Each of us loved the make-up day of. Shannon is a true professional, very personable, and ran on-time! She made me feel so beautiful, and I wish I had the funds to hire her to do my makeup everyday!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All the time. I travel around as well and study women's trends in fashion and make-up. I am a member of Make-up forever, Sephora, Urban Decay, Smashbox and study all the newest trends and products.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
It was suggested tome after doing a few family members bridal make-up. My best friend is a stylist and said, "Shan- you should do this, like for real!". So I started to research brands and try them and book slowly through her. She would call me last minute and say, "Hey I have a bridal party- can you do make-up today?". I would show up at her salon and have new clients! Thanks Krystal!
