Introduction: Dedicated Dog Training's work stands our from others, in our opinion, in addition to our excellent dog training abilities, but our ability to be able to transfer that knowledge to the dog or puppy's family. That said, we think that the most important reason that we pop from many of our competitors is....we are dedicated and will take as long as it takes. I like that we are doing something that we love, on more than occasion are saving a dog, on many occasions keeping a dog or puppy in a household, frequently forging or enhancing a better bond between dog and human. And the perk......besides meeting a variety of interesting people, and making new friends, we get paid for doing something that we find very rewarding and love doing!

I hired James after interviewing a few other trainers. I must say, I was very impressed with James from the beginning. We first spoke at length on the telephone and then during an in home evaluation. Being that my puppy was new, James recommended the evaluation take place after a week or so just to let the puppy get comfortable in my environment so he could get a good sense of the puppy's personality. When James arrived at my home he was the only trainer to actually spend time getting to know my puppy. Yes, he explained training options like the others, but none of them spent time really getting to know the puppy, not to mention no one brought him a bone, as James did. After reviewing training options and expectations for each training method, I hired James. A week or so later Oakley, my rambunctious leash biting puppy was off for two weeks of doggie boot camp. James kept in contact with me via email and telephone, posted videos of Oakley's progress (and play time) and even let my puppy-sick children come for a mid-training visit. When Oakley was returned every one was impressed. Oakley was the same fun lovable puppy, just very well-behaved. James taught everyone in my family the commands and within a hour we all had Oakley heeling, sitting and laying, even my 9 year old had full control of Oakley. It's been a week since Oakley came home and I'm still impressed with my pup and the training he received. He is very well-behaved, listens to all commands, and is very happy. I couldn't ask for a better experience, nor could I get the same results myself. I highly recommend James. Oakley is a 6 month old male husky/shepherd mix.

I can't say enough good things about Dedicated Dog Training. Since our very first phone conversation, James, has been helpful, knowledgeable, and understanding; even going above and beyond to offer some extremely helpful tips on surviving my first few days with my German Shepherd rescue. Before working with Dedicated Dog Training, my dog had no obedience training. He didn't know sit or stay, he was wild and he basically pulled me down the block on his leash. Now, after several weeks of training, he listens to all the commands, his energy is focused on being obedient and he walks on his leash like a perfect gentleman. We've even started to work on off leash commands! Working with James has given me the tools to be a good dog owner. He gives you the knowledge, the foundation and the confidence to train your dog the right way. Not to mention, he is always available to answer any and all questions or concerns you may have. Dedicated Dog has done wonders for me and my dog. I would absolutely recommend them to everyone!

We got the great pleasure of working with James to train our 9 month old pitbull puppy. When he started working with us, Arya was not following commands well and we didn't exactly know what to do to manage her. He introduced us to the e collar which definitely helped to train her to become more obedient. While it is still a work in progress, and more consistency needs to be done on our part, we have noticed Arya following our commands better. Thank you to James at dedicated dog training for his professionalism, patience and timely responses to all of my crazy emails!!

James was calm, clear in his direction and his experience showed. He also brought his personal dog that was amazing and showed he could train a dog. I was skeptical going in but my dog absolutely was better behaved and showed no aggression in the same situations when I followed James' instructions. It was hard work but worth it.

After rescuing my pit I realized I neither had the time or energy (or knowledge) to socialize and train it in the way that would make my, and her life easier. She was a handful when she arrived and although I loved her, it was very stressful here for a while. I interviewed 3 different dog trainers and they gave me information regarding their way of training, as well as evaluating my new dog . James from Dedicated Dog Training was clearly the best choice. The balance of his vast knowledge and love for dogs and what he does was important to me. He showed me in one visit that as a trainer, I would not only get results faster, but that he would make the most difficult things easy for me to learn and carry out. I also appreciated that I was not required to sign up for more sessions than I may have even needed. Wonderful to work with and I now (after just 3 visits from him) have a well trained and eager to please dog. I am confident she won't pull me on walks any longer and she is now a happy, nice to have around part of my family. I do not write these reviews often but James at Dedicated Dog Training is most certainly worthy of my time to do so. I recommend him highly for the smallest to the largest issues you may be having with your dog. It was a pleasure (and well worth it) to work with him. Thank you, James! What types of customers have you worked with?
Most common are enabling them to have better control over their puppies and dogs inside and outside of the home. We train dogs how to walk nicely on the leash and in many instances off the leash as well. We also, train dogs how to be obedient when placed in environments of distraction as well as teaching the dog owner on how to handle such motivators.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
First and foremost, the customer should do their own research prior to interviewing a candidate to train their dog or puppy. This research should include but not limit itself to: different types of dog and puppy training methods, a comparison of content on websites (some actually cater their contact to the art of training dogs, others cater their contact to signing customers up (this is our opinion), but probably most important....customer reviews, recommendations and referrals. Lastly, your gut feeling after speaking with the dog trainer.
