FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We normally would take any size jobs, but because commuting without staying for hours on traffic in NYC is becoming nearly impossible we decided to set a minimum job price of $750 and $55 on-site estimate and this amount is waved if hired. We often offer discounts for Thumbtack customers, interior designers, architects and general contractors, on special occasions and on times that we're not overbooked,
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Often when the type of job allows, we will give a rough estimate over the phone, sharing pictures and videos with the potential client that would help us understand the amount of work involved in completing this job. If needed we will setup an in-person meeting for estimate and consultation. We will prepare an itemized official proposal/Invoice for the client to review. If hired we request 50% deposit before commencement of the work and the remaining balance when work is completed, or three thirds payments for bigger jobs. We accept checks (three days to clear the bank before due date), Cash, Venmo, Zelle, or credit cards (5% Credit card processing fee applies). We will continuously keep the client updated with the progress of the work
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I, Dorian Came to the USA from Eastern Europe on 2001 and since then i've been working in the construction industry, mainly interior renovations. Even though I was largely involved with all the aspects of interior renovations from demolition to framing, drywall and all the things a General Contractor can do since i've also been licensed as GC in NYC, Finishes was something i found myself more passionate about. During these last 20 years of work experience in NYC I've learned that every job is unique and requires unique skills and special treatment as the situation arises. Having also a musical background i try to implement concepts or rhythm and harmony in everyday life, simplifying complex work situations and making the work environment a bit less confusing and more enjoyable for everyone.
