FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It can be difficult as a photographer to give an exact quote on a site like this as every client will have different needs and wants. I have the ability to work within most budgets and come up with a package to suit the needs of my clients.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always taking time to study and learn more about my craft. It seems the more I learn, the more I realize there is to know. There are plenty of online resources and I take advantage of them. There are forums were people critique your work and let you know where you can improve. There are textbooks worth of articles on lighting, composition, and all the settings on the camera and how to control them in each situation. I also started a community for photographers to post articles, teach, and learn from each other.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
A few years ago I was a groomsman in a wedding and I had my phone on me. Throughout the day I was taking pictures to remember the day. After the wedding I sent them to the bride. A few weeks later she told me that the pictures I took were really good and how glad she was I took them. She said she was disappointed with the quality she had paid for. She told me I have a good eye for timing. I decided then I should do something about it. I started studying all I could about photography and very quickly it became a passion.
