- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I wouldn't say its complicated, but I will describe my pricing model. I will offer flat rates, and they are quoted out on a job to job basis. Other than flat rates, I also work at a $25.00/hour for any job where the client and I agree that this would be the best way to charge for a job that doesn't have a clear end in mind. I provide hours logs as an Excel file, that I generate from my hours log app on my mobile device.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am design and tech junky. I follow many blogs/articles/and newsletters. In addition to this I have recently undergone local training for Solidworks, and CreativeLive webinars and livecasts to constantly immerse myself in my field.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I went to college for fine arts. My favorite works of art where ones that were aesthetically pleasing, but also had good content. Art that made people think, and feel. I soon realized that design had many similarities to this, and this and my love of a good critique made me decide that I wanted to be a graphic designer.
